Judge Critique:

It was an absolute pleasure to be invited to judge at this show. Thanks to all exhibitors for their entries and thank you to all committee for looking after me and to the steward who kept the ring in order and flowing smoothly. I found a lot of lovely dogs which made some of my decisions all the more difficult.

DOGS:

MPD(1)

1st - Vidler's - Apailana's Gold Blend. An 8 month old boy with a nice masculine head sporting lustrous black eyes and framed with large and erect ears.Promising, well balanced pup of good type. Shame he stood alone today but worthy of his placing. BPD & BPIS

JD (3)

1st - Moyes/Shaw/Hunter-Ryan/Virta - Bryelis The Star Man. A smart 13 month old boy with an alert expression. Power puff with the correct coat and well fringed ears. He's of good size and length of body. Moved well for his handler with drive from the rear. RBD.

2nd - Koot/Koot-Van Oosten - Concrete Clouds Sieger. 12 month old hairless in good condition. Happy and clearly emjoying himself. Graceful, fine boned lad who held his shape at all times. On another day these 2 could change places, just preferred movement on 1 today.

3rd - Stainsby - Riveralca Affric

GD (4)

1st - Peppett - Way To Go Heybett - 2 year old tri powder puff, another of nice type and size. Good head qualities with dark eyes, large ears and nice mouth. Presented a nice shape, reaching out as he moved round the ring.

2nd - Stainsby - Riveralca Affric - Another powder puff, this one 15 mouths old and lovely coat and good shape. Not as settled as 1. Classic crested head, with the required tapering muzzle, well set dark eyes and nose.

3rd - Dowsett - Leibwache Sokk It To 'Em Tteswood

PGD (5)

1st - Farquharson - Shanshal Man Of Steel JW. 22 month old sable, nicely groomed, powder puff with a soft veil. Masculine head with dark eyes set wide apart. body of nice size and shape with well muscled rear, allowing him to move round the ring with ease.

2nd - Panayiotis - Ynchreenoo Masquerade. Mahogany and white hairless of 21 months old. Another of nice size and shape, not much between them just preferred  movement on 1 on the day. Well shaped head, dark pigment and large erect ears. With a smooth hairless body, skin in good condition.

3rd - Stainsby - Riveralca Affric

LD (3/1a)

1st - Peppett - Keep Trying Heybett. 5 year old powder puff in good condition with, well groomed, veil coat. Typical head presenting a graceful appearance. Eyes dark and of medium size, ears large and erect. Held his shape, with level back and moderate tuck up.

2nd - Coulter - Scherzando Quill. 3 years old black and white boy. Such a shame he was spooked just as he entered the ring and would not settle for his handler. However, I saw enough for him to merit his placing. Nicely shaped boy with a pleasing head.

OD (2)

1st - Coulter - Scherzando Betelgeuse. A 6 year old black and white, moved around the ring with free flowing stride. Good reach of neck, nice length to his body, level topline, correct tuck up and with good angulations. Balanced head and correct mouth. Moved well.

2nd - Farquharson - Shanshal Prince Of Arabia JW. Another 6 year old, this one a cream powder puff. Close between these 2, both moved well and had similar attributes. Coat was of great condition, and body of good shape.

VD (2)

1st - Crow - Ch Estillinis Silver Surfer At Casacavallo JW (Swed Imp). 7 year old in great condition. With classic crested head. Well balanced throughout, with muscled rear allowing him to move with powerful drive. Held his shape both standing and on the move. BVD & BVIS

2nd - Frame 0 Elfallons Little Dragon. Also 7 year old, black white hairless of nice size, with an elegant head and piercing dark eyes. Ears large and erect. Wasn't as true on the move as 1.

Vintage D (1)

1st - Crow - Leibwache Rufus Ruffcut. A 14 year old who belies his age. In fantastic condition for his years and his movement could put some youngsters to shame. A pleasure to watch him still enjoy the show ring.

Champion D (2)

1st - Crow - Ch Kojiki's The Look Of Love At Casacavallo JW. A 2 year  old mahogany of good size, and a worthy champion. Masculine and well balanced with a lovely outline. A stylish boy in tip top condition. He has a good reach of neck and level topline, with moderate tuck up below. Moved well in all directions. BD/RBIS & BOS

2nd - Moyes/ Hunter-Ryan - Ch Joyway's I'm A Star At Bryelis. Red mahogany 4 year old boy of good type. Fine boned, elegant and nice size. He has correct skull and tapering muzzle with a good mouth, moved ok going round the ring. (Fin Imp)

JB (1)

1st - Moyes/Shaw/Hunter-Ryan/Punton - Bryelis Oh I Wannabe Famous JW. A 14 mouth old hairless girl with the prettiest of heads. Refined and elegant with a good length of neck leading to a level back. She went well for her handler.

PGB (2)

1st - Kirkwood - Bryelis Star A'traction JW taf.  A 13 month old hairless in great condition. Well shaped head and muzzle with good mouth. Good depth of chest and a moderate tuck up. Angulations at rear and legs set apart, moved with drive. RBB

2nd - O'Sullivan - Cladary Triumph History Star (Lva Imp). Mahogany and white 3 year old. Didn't have the confidence of 1. Presented in good condition, fine boned with a nice front. Balanced when standing, moved ok.

LB (7/1a)

1st - Frame - Elfallons Naked Angel. 2 year old hairless, her skin in excellent condition. Graceful and fine boned with lots to like. Pretty head with expressive, dark eyes and large, erect ears. Moved nicely round the ring.

2nd - Kerry - Godpeakiki Viva Andromeda. A 3 year old powder puff of good size and her flowing veil coat was in good condition. Attractive head and well placed ears. Sound and typical both coming and going.

3rd - Koot/Koot-Van Oosten - Happy  Dancing Omg How Perfect

OB (1)

1st - Proctor/Mcgowen - Pufflepaws Prosecco Please. A 4 year old black and white of good type, skin in lovely condition, She has an attractive head and expression and moved soundly. Stood alone but worthy of class win.

VB (2)

1st - Frame - Ch Myvallo Inclined To Dance At Elfallons. 9 years of age mahogany hairless. I great shape, wouldn't look out of place in with the younger girls. Elegant and refined, she's a show girl and she knows it. Moves briskly with good front and rear action.BVB

2nd - Moyes/Hunter-Ryan - Bryelis Private Dancer JW ShCM. An 8 Year old powder puff. Another quality exhibit from this kennel. Well balanced and feminine with a sweet expression. Nice size and with good length of body. Coat in excellent condition.

Vintage B (1)

1st - Dowsett - Ch Doonbeg Reach For The Sky Ttewsood JW ShCM. A black and white 10 year old with nice coat and good shape. Typical crested head with dark eyes, well set ears and a good mouth. Presented in tip top condition.

 Champion B (2/1a)

1st - Dixon - Ch Jean Dark Carolina Rose Avec Debrita (Swed Imp) JW. Not quite2 years old yet and boy what a girl. This one stole the show for me. She's glamorous, a nice size and has everything in the right place, moved like clockwork and had the most gorgeous head and expression. BB & BIS
